Big Bazaar: Private label push
Big Bazaar, the hypermarket of Pantaloon Retail, has come out with a breakfast cereal range under its private label, Tasty Treat. Big Bazaar already sells noodles, pasta, vermicelli, soups, namkeens, chips, toast, khari, papads, jams, pickles, carbonated drinks, ketchup and fruit beverages under the brand. It has now added breakfast cereals to the range.

Sugar stocks jump as prices touch record high
Shree Renuka Sugars ended at Rs 229, up by Rs 7 or 3.3%, on the BSE. Over 4.07 lakh shares have changed hands at the counter. The stock hit a high of Rs 230 and a low of Rs 223 during the day.

Fundtech enters Europe

Cash management solutions provider Fundtech India Ltd is entering the European banking sector with its product Global CashPlus. Banks in these countries are constantly upgrading their systems and services, where in we find a huge market for our product Global CashPlus.” The company has already signed a contract with a multinational bank in Greece while Barclay’s Bank-India has extended its deal for Indonesia. Fundtech is also looking at banks in Germany, Switzerland, Italy and France to sign contracts. “We are doing online transactions worth Rs 4,000 to Rs 5,000 crore every day across,” Dalmia added.
