Now that I am back at sweat level in Delhi and have actually read the Goethe, I realise that Young Werther would have made poor company.

Cox & Kings' Aussie arm acquires 2 firms
Cox & Kings (Australia), the wholly-owned subsidiary of Cox and Kings (India), a travel and tour company, has bought MyPlanet Australia and Bentours International through a share sale agreement from First Choice Holdings Australia. The acquisition is being done through an ‘earn-out mechanism’ and is not being paid for from funds raised for acquisition from the company’s recent initial public offering (IPO).

The device is a small SIM card that is installed between the switch and the electrical water pump. By a simple phone call from a GSM, STD phone or even by an SMS command, the farmer can turn the pump on or off and also remotely know the status of the pump, Micro Technologies Chairman and Managing Director, P Sekhar, told reporters here. "We hope this device reaches farmers across the country and helps them multifold," Sekhar said, adding "that the device is a cost-effective solution and the product will soon be available across the country. Today, farmers have to make multiple trips to their farms to check if there is adequate electricity to turn up the pump to water their crops. This device will help them in reducing water leakage, pilferage and wastage, Sekhar said.
